눕다(To lie)

hp?no=4975 amp;cat_no=1002 amp;seq=101410 amp;type=2 amp;year=2006 amp;type2=3 amp;type3= amp;page=2눕다이 구조물은 대지에 드러누운 20미터 크기의 인간 형상으로 조각가 3인의 공동작품이면서 동시에 시민들과 함께 제작한 작품이다. 이 작품에는 부산의 한 예술고등학교 학생들이 제작에 참여했다. 작품의 인간 형상은 바닥과 천정이 동일한 형상으로, 한 쌍으로 이루어져 있다. 석재 타일로 만들어진 바닥은 대지에 누운 인체 형상으로 사람들이 밟고 지나갈 수 있는 길이 된다. 그 위로는 스테인레스 스틸 판재로 만들어진 같은 모양의 천정이 그림자를 만들고 있다. 또한 인체의 배 부분에는 길고 큰 자연석이 있어 사람들은 그곳에 앉아 쉴 수도 있다. ‘대지예술’로 불리는 이러한 작품은 ‘작가/ 관객’이라는 이분법을 허물고, 함께 만들고 함께 이용하며 즐기는 ‘시민참여예술’의 한 사례가 되고 있다. It is the product of three sculptors, as well as students from a Busan-area arts high school. The shape of the human being creates a pair-like impression because the floor and the ceiling have the same form. The floor, made from stone tiles, is in the shape of a reclining person and serves as path for people to walk on. Above the floor, the ceiling, made from stainless steel plates, casts a shadow. In the stomach of the sculpture, a long and large native rock lets people sit down and take a rest. The work belongs to a class of sculpture called land art. With its call for active participation, the art overcomes the traditional dichotomy between the artist as producer and the spectator as observer.
